TABLE 47, presented by Double Play Films, has been accepted by the Borrego Springs Film Festival and will screen as an official entry on January 17, 2015.

“We hope this is the first of many festivals we’ll be accepted into,” stated Table 47 screenwriter and co-producer Michael Brody.

“This is validation for the hard work and skill shown by everyone in the cast and crew,” director Jeff Kingery said.  “It’s tough to get into a festival.  The competition is fierce.  I’m very proud of the movie we made and look forward to seeing the audience reaction.”

In the movie, bar owner Peter Gryszek falls for a married woman with an abusive husband and plans to murder him. He soon discovers he’s the victim of an elaborate con…one he may not survive.

Borrego Springs is northeast of San Diego. It is surrounded by Anza Borrego Desert State Park.  Its natural beauty has long attracted filmmakers and over 60 films have been shot there.
